Why It Matters: Inflammation isn't always visible, like when you experience a cut or insect bite with pain, redness, and swelling. However, there is also chronic or "silent" inflammation that can persist without noticeable symptoms. It can also harm your heart arteries and blood vessels, even if your cholesterol and triglyceride levels are within normal ranges. Upon purchase of your Testing Kit, you agree to the Terms & Conditions, and Declaration & Consent Statement for that test. The Declaration and Consent Statement for each test is set out below and more detail can be found on our Terms of Service, Section 20.

To complete the activation of your test, please confirm the following:

1. The test is for yourself, or you are the parent or guardian of the person taking the test (defined as “you” below).
2. You are over the age of eighteen years.
3. You are not pregnant nor breastfeeding.
4. You understand that if less than 400μL of blood is provided you may not receive a result.
5. You understand that the test should not be taken if you have an acute infection such as a cold, flu, or a dental infection as CRP levels may be high and may mask any underlying inflammation. Instead, you should wait for at least a week after feeling better. If you are concerned about acute infection symptoms then please visit your GP.
6. You understand that CRP levels can rise after an intense burst of exercise, so the test is best carried out at least 24 hours or more after a work-out.
7. You understand that oral contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy may increase CRP levels.
8. You understand that the sample should be taken on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and the sample posted the same day.
9. You understand that personal and special category data is stored in accordance with our privacy policy and UK Data Protection laws.
10. You understand that if you do not complete and attach the small label to the blood sample tube then you will not receive any results.
11. You have read and agree to the terms and conditions.
